Viking Raid Weekend is coming to the YOC grounds in May 2026, presented by Olde World Entertainment. This will be a full-immersion Viking living-history and fantasy experience where participants help build a small Viking village, forge weapons and shields with blacksmiths, join combat throughout the weekend, grill food over open flames, and take part in a Saturday Abbey Raid followed by a traditional feast. On Sunday, the Jarls will lead their warriors in a final skirmish for spoils. Guests can choose to play roles such as Berserker, Warrior, Skald, Groedari, or Blacksmith, each with its own abilities in combat and storytelling. Combat follows our established safe-play rules using inspected foam weapons only. Viking kit should reflect historical attire from 793–1066, avoiding horned helmets, plate armor, and fantasy pieces.
